08/23/97 : Acquired a second Apple ][+ with 48k ram, 16k language card, Microsoft Z80 Softcard, Apricorn Printerpro Parallel Printer Interface, Applied Engineering Viewmaster 80 Column Card, 2 Disk ][ 5.25" Floppy Drives for $5.00. Mainly for the cards and to use as spare parts for my other ][+.
08/23/97 : Acquired unknown interface card, maybe a SCSI card?
09/29/99 : Acquired another base system with Apple 16k Language Card, Apple Serial Interface, Apple Disk II Interface and a Saturn Ram Card for $3.49.
10/28/01 : Acquired system with Disk II, Grappler+, Micromodem II, Saturn Accelerator II,and an unknown 16K Ram cards for free.

I have an unknown interface card for the Apple ][ which I now believe to be a Sider HD interface. It has a 50 pin connector down the front of the card. REV E and SCI Typ. 1A dated Jan 24 '85 printed on the card. An EPROM with

This was my first computer system and the picture is one I took shortly after I bought it. I was
looking at buying a Radio Shack TRS-80 Model 1 but the hires color graphics, higher storage disk drives and the interface slots of the Apple won me over despite the higher cost. Of course that higher cost meant I had to convince someone to give an income-less college student a loan but it wasn't long before I had my system. I've modified one of my Disk ][ drives with a "write-protect" switch. This is a three position switch which lets me override the write-protect signal from the drive. In one position the drive acts like normal, in the second the diskette always appears write protected and in the third the diskette always appears as non-write protected. I also modified by disk controller card to allow booting 13-sector or 16-sector diskettes with the flip of a switch. My Z-80 card is a homemade clone of a CP/M card. If you had one, why not tell me about your first Apple. Be sure and check out my Apple Library. Here is an early review of the system, its for the Apple II not the Apple II+ but the differences are not that big. |
