The stated goal of MTU was "to
design the top of the line 6502 GENERAL PURPOSE computer system"
and reading everything in their brochure leads me to believe that they
did a good job of that. I've got more about this system which I'll post
here shortly but in the meantime, if you have one you'd like to pass
along, consider passing it my way.
These systems also included a Fiber Optic Light Pen, 2 Parallel Ports,
1 RS-232 Serial Port, 8 bit Digital-to-Analog Port and a 50 KBaud Interrupt drive Network Option.
The 6502 cpu was augmented with "18 bit addressing".
Micro Technology Unlimited also released the MTU-140 which is believed to have substantially identical hardware as the MTU-130, but with an all in one chassis. If you have any information on either of these systems please pass it on.
Have scanned some of the manuals that came with my system and placed them in the MTU-130 section of the resources center. More to come. |
