I always like the Sorcerer, even
though I had only read reviews and seen ads for the system and never
actually played with one. It just sounded like a cool system.
User-defineable character set, plug in ROM carts, and a great name.
Exidy had problems getting the systems out there and it took me almost
20 years but I finally have one in hand. So far I have several manuals,
some ROM packs and cassettes (yes that's right) of software to be
checked out as well as copies of the Sorcerer's Apprentice
newsletter. Disk drives and the S100 bus expansion system are high on my
want list for this system. If you have one of these or manuals for one
or anything related to a Socrerer you'd like to part with, or just have
something interesting to say about the system, or if you know of another
site on the net related to it, I'd love to
hear from you. If you need some
info on the system, check my Sorcerer's Library.
I also have an early ad from January 1979,
but I should warn you that the scan is around 200k. Or read this
old review of the Sorcerer, also from
January 1979. |
