|Creative Computing said, "A superlative
graphics box hampered by an ambilvalent market place." This system
had some really nice graphic capablities, especially compared to the
other popular Intel based system of the time. There was a software paint
package called Lumena which had some nice animation effects, both color
cycling and a cell-based method as well. It used two VLSI chips to take
the graphics processing off the cpu. It had 3
expansion slots in the base unit with 3 more in the expansion unit.
RGB, Composite Video and RF interfaces and audio interfaces were included. There
were also 2 ROM/NVRAM cardridge ports up front.
Email me if you have any hardware doc,
software or cartridges for these systems. I'd really like to know more about the
special chips in this system and more on the hardware level. I'm just starting
to play around with these so if you've worked with them then please drop me a line.|
